John Hoover has been a Tulsa World sports writer since 1992, and has been on the OU football beat since 2004. He worked previously at newspapers in Tahlequah, Okmulgee, Waynesville, Mo., and Ada. Hoover played football for three years at Ada High School and received a journalism degree from East Central University. Hoover grew up in North Pole, Alaska, and lives in Broken Arrow, with his wife and two children.
