Guerin Emig had abbreviated stints as a sports writer in Guthrie and Enid before a 4-year stay at The Norman Transcript from 2000-04. He currently serves as a beat writer for the Tulsa World and he has spent the last six years covering OU football. He spent his third year on the OU men's basketball beat this past season. A University of Kansas graduate, Guerin is married to Christy, his high school sweetheart from Tulsa Booker T. Washington. They have two children, Gretchen and Holden, and when he's not spending time with the family, he can be found watching highlights of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
